PATRICK BÉRUBÉ

Patrick Bérubé lives and works in Montreal, Canada. His work has been noticed on the national and international scene through several major exhibitions and events; notably in New York, Berlin, London and at the Casino Luxembourg. He has also completed several artist residencies, including the Hangar in Barcelona, Spain, the Cité internationale des Arts in Paris. Additionally he has created several works integrating architecture. His practice is mainly in sculpture, installation and public intervention.
He is interested in the contradictory relationships, whether emotional, physical or carnal, that human beings have with themselves and their environment. In these times of crisis, his works address political and societal issues through different notions of memory, cycles, transformation and mutation.
