Fakewhale Studio, founded by Fakewhale in 2024, is an experimental lab. exploring innovative image-making techniques and their influence on contemporary art, visual culture, and installation practices.
Operating at the intersection of technology and creativity, we explore the possibilities of advanced rendering, artificial intelligence, and emerging digital languages.
Building on the theories of Walter Benjamin and Gilles Deleuze, we question the nature of the image in the age of algorithmic reproducibility.
How does the concept of originality shift when visual creation is driven by neural networks and vast datasets? What new imaginaries emerge when data transforms into generative aesthetics?
Fakewhale Studio is not just a production lab, it’s a conceptual space where the relationship between artist, machine, and viewer is redefined.
Using technologies such as machine learning, and algorithmic synthesis, we investigate the logic of representation in an era of hyper-visual production.
Our works transfigure, generating new ways of perceiving and experiencing images.
Fakewhale Studio is a platform for research and experimentation, open to collaborations with artists, researchers, and technologists, with the goal of exploring the future of visual creation.
Every generated image is a question, a reflection on our relationship with the visible, the meaning of authorship, and the evolving aesthetics of artificial intelligence.
new:
Fakewhale Studio, founded by Fakewhale in 2024, is Fakewhale’s internal creative and technological tool, developed to build and support its visual ecosystem.
FW Studio functions as a proprietary technological layer through which we work with artificial intelligence systems and generative processes for the creation of images, visual content, and contemporary productions.
Drawing from the theories of Walter Benjamin, Gilles Deleuze, and other image theorists, the studio’s practice questions the evolving nature of the image in the age of algorithmic generation.
Through this internal tool, we investigate how the concept of originality shifts when visual creation is driven by neural networks and datasets, opening new imaginaries and exploring the relationship
between data and generative aesthetics in service of the Fakewhale community and its creative production.
