MATHIAS PÖSCHL

Mathias Pöschl (1981) lives and works in Vienna, Austria. His work has been widely shown throughout Austria and internationally.Notable institutional shows include “Poetiken des Materials” at Leopold Museum in Vienna and “you must learn” at 21er Haus, Vienna. He is an alumnus of ISCP, the International Studio & Curatorial Program, in New York City.
His work is concerned with the phenomena of copying, repetition and redundancy. Seeking to investigate the nature of image-making, he creates series of works at the intersection of painting, drawing and photography.
