JORGE ISLA

Since 2015, Jorge Isla’s practice has focused on observing and analyzing the reality and modes of production and consumption in contemporary society. His work is a meeting point between sculpture, video art, and photography.
 He won the VEGAP 2015, Visual Arts Grant from the Spanish Ministry of Culture in the Collège d’Espagne à Paris (2017), Ayudas para la investigación, creación y producción artísticas del MECD (2021), acquisition grant Joaquina Zamora (Zaragoza, 2021), acquisition grant Colección UMH (Elche, 2021), Production Grant Bilbaoarte Foundation (2021), INJUVE (2022), Ramón Acin Grant (Huesca, 2022), IX Mardel Prize of Visual Arts (2022), Basque Artist Program Guggenheim Museum (2023), etc.
